Headline inflation was constant at 10.7 percent between May and June 2026, remaining above the medium-term objective range of 3 – 6 percent, and was significantly higher than the 2 percent recorded in June 2025. Inflation was constant between May and June 2026, reflecting generally stable prices across most categories of goods and services. The 16 percent trimmed mean inflation decreased slightly from 9.1 percent to 9 percent, while inflation excluding administered prices was unchanged at 5.9 percent between May and June 2026.
Inflation for domestic tradeables increased slightly from 7.6 percent to 7.9 percent between May and June 2026, in part, due to the marginal increase in prices of some food items. In contrast, inflation for imported tradeables decreased slightly from 18.1 percent to 17.9 percent over the same period, partly due to a deceleration in the increase of vehicle prices. Overall, all tradeables inflation increased slightly from 15.2 percent to 15.3 percent between May and June 2026. Meanwhile, inflation for non-tradeables was constant at 3.9 percent in the same period.
