The Pula depreciated by 0.4 percent against the South African rand and 0.1 percent against the IMF Special Drawing Rights (SDR) over the one-month period to July 2020. The Pula depreciated by 3.9 percent against the British pound, 3.1 percent against euro and 0.5 percent against the Japanese yen, while it appreciated by 2.7 percent against the US dollar and 1.6 percent against the Chinese renminbi.

Over the twelve months period to July 2020, the nominal Pula exchange rate appreciated by 10.3 percent against the South African rand and depreciated by 9.5 percent against the SDR. Against the SDR constituent currencies, the Pula depreciated by 13.8 percent against the British pound, 12.6 percent against the euro, 10.5 percent against the Japanese yen, 6.9 percent against the US dollar and 5.6 percent against the Chinese renminbi.
