Over the one-month period to November 2025, the Pula depreciated by 0.6 percent against the South African rand. In contrast, the domestic currency appreciated by 0.2 percent against the IMF Special Drawing Rights (SDR). During the review period, the Pula appreciated by 1.7 percent against the Japanese yen, 0.2 percent against the US dollar and 0.1 percent against the euro, while it depreciated by 0.4 percent against the British pound and 0.3 percent against the Chinese renminbi.

Meanwhile, over the twelve-month period to November 2025, the Pula depreciated by 2.8 percent against the South African rand and 0.8 percent against the SDR. Against SDR constituent currencies, the Pula depreciated by 6.6 percent against the euro and 1.7 percent against the British pound. However, it appreciated by 6.6 percent against the Japanese yen and 2.3 percent against the US dollar and remained relatively stable against the Chinese renminbi.
