Over the one-month period to February 2026, the Pula depreciated by 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent against the South African rand and the IMF Special Drawing Rights (SDR), respectively. During the review period, the Pula depreciated by 1.9 percent against the Chinese renminbi and 0.6 percent against the US dollar, while it appreciated by 1.5 percent against the British pound, 0.8 percent against the Japanese yen and 0.4 percent against the against the euro.
Meanwhile, over the twelve-month period to February 2026, the Pula depreciated by 7 percent against the South African rand and appreciated by 2.7 percent against the SDR. Against SDR constituent currencies, the Pula appreciated by 12.2 percent against the Japanese yen, 7.9 percent against the US dollar, 1.4 percent Chinese renminbi and 0.8 percent against the British pound. However, it depreciated by 5.1 percent against the euro.
