The Pula appreciated against the US dollar (0.6 percent) and the rand (0.6 percent), but depreciated against the euro (1.9 percent), yen (0.7 percent), pound sterling (0.3 percent) and marginally against the Chinese yuan (0.1 percent) in July. In the twelve months to July 2017, the Pula appreciated against the yen (12.4 percent), pound sterling (5.6 percent) and US dollar (5.2 percent) while depreciating against the rand (3.3 percent) and the euro (0.5 percent).
