The Pula depreciated against the euro (1.5 percent), yen (1.3 percent), US dollar (1.1 percent) and the pound (0.4 percent while appreciating against the rand (1.3 percent) in August. On an annual basis (twelve months to August 2016), the Pula depreciated against the euro (3.5 percent), US dollar (4.2 percent) and the yen (18.4 percent) but appreciated against the rand (4.0 percent) and the pound (12.8 percent).
