The Pula appreciated against the rand by 2.2 percent

The Pula appreciated against the rand (2.2 percent) but depreciated against SDR currencies over the one-month period to January 2020. It depreciated against the US dollar (-2.5 percent); Chinese renminbi (-2.4 percent); British pound (-2.4 percent); Japanese yen (-2.2 percent); and the euro (-0.9 percent). In the twelve months to January 2020, the Pula appreciated against the rand (4.8 percent) and depreciated against SDR currencies. It depreciated against the US dollar (-5.2 percent); British pound (-5.0 percent); Japanese yen (-5.0 percent); Chinese renminbi (-1.5 percent) and Euro (-1.2 percent).
