The Pula appreciated by 1.4 percent against the South African rand and depreciated by 1.6 percent against the IMF Special Drawing Rights (SDR) over the one-month period to June 2022. It depreciated by 3.2 percent against the US dollar, 2.6 percent against the Chinese renminbi and 0.6 percent against the euro, while it appreciated by 3.2 percent against the Japanese yen and 0.4 percent against the British pound.

Over the twelve months period to June 2022, the nominal Pula exchange rate depreciated by 5.3 percent against the SDR and appreciated by 0.3 percent against the South African rand. Against the SDR constituent currencies, the Pula depreciated by 11.7 percent against the US dollar and 8.4 percent against the Chinese renminbi, while it appreciated by 8.9 percent against the Japanese yen, 0.6 percent against the British pound and 0.4 percent against the euro.
