National Accounts data is sourced from Statistics Botswana and are compiled in accordance with international standards contained in the System of National Accounts (SNA), in particular SNA 1993. The System of National Accounts is the internationally agreed standard set of recommendations on how to compile measures of economic activity in accordance with strict accounting conventions based on economic principles. The statistics measure the total production or output of a country (Botswana) at a particular point in time. In Botswana the data in released quarterly and shows production in years and in quarters.
